Online counselling for anxiety, health anxiety, panic and life’s difficult moments.

Practical, evidence-based support for anxiety, stress, difficult emotions and moments in life that leave you feeling stuck.

About Me

Hi, I’m Amy, founder of Zerin Counselling.

I offer online counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, panic, stress, overwhelm and other difficult periods in life.

I have a particular interest in anxiety, including health anxiety, panic attacks, reassurance seeking and those exhausting “what if” cycles that can make life feel much smaller than it should.

My aim is to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.

Depending on what you need, our work may involve exploring past or present experiences, recognising unhelpful patterns, building greater self-understanding and finding practical ways to move forward.

My Qualifications

  • Foundation Degree in Counselling

  • Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

  • Regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.

Choosing a counsellor is an important decision and taking the first step can often feel daunting.

That is why I offer a free 20-minute introductory phone call. We can briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have, and decide whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to book further sessions.

My Approach

My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity and evidence-based practice, creating a space where you can be honest about how things really feel without judgement or pressure to have all the answers.

Together, we can explore what’s been happening, make sense of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and find ways of responding that feel more helpful and manageable.

You may be here because…

  • Your mind never seems to switch off

  • Anxiety or panic is starting to take over

  • You’re struggling with health anxiety or constant “what if” thoughts

  • You feel overwhelmed, burnt out or emotionally exhausted

  • You’re going through a difficult relationship, loss or life change

  • You feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand

  • You’ve lost confidence in yourself or feel disconnected from who you are

  • You just know something doesn’t feel right and want space to work it through

Things to know…

Before we start

All clients will receive a Counselling Agreement which must be read and signed by both myself and the client before starting counselling sessions.

Confidentiality

Everything we discuss in counselling is confidential.

There are, however, a small number of situations where confidentiality may need to be broken, for example if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, or where I am legally required to disclose information.

If this ever became necessary, I would aim to discuss it with you first wherever possible.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please aim to give at least 48 hours notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed without notice, will normally be charged at the full session fee.

Block Bookings- Block bookings are payable in advance. If counselling ends before all six sessions are used, any refund will be calculated after sessions already attended are charged at the standard single session rate of £50. This will not apply where I have recommended ending counselling or have signposted/referred you to another service, if I believe your needs would be better met elsewhere. In those circumstances, any unused sessions will be refunded in full.

I understand emergencies happen, and these will always be considered individually.

Clinical Supervision

Working Online
